(Colwich, Kan. – December 12, 2018) – ICM, Inc. continues to expand its international reach. In early December, ACA Bio Cooperativa Limitada , the ethanol arm of the Asociación de Cooperativas Argentinas, announced its plans to invest $53 million to expand its existing production facility in Argentina. ICM will design, engineer and provide equipment for the expansion.

The expansion will include installation of ICM’s Selective Milling Technology V2™ (SMT V2™). SMT V2™ is a value-added, patented technology platform offering important operational benefits to ethanol manufacturing facilities. The system allows plants to maximize the amount of starch exposed for conversion to ethanol and oil available for recovery, while preserving fiber for higher-value platform applications.

“We are excited to work with ICM during this time of growth,” said Santiago Acquaroli, General Manager for ACA Bio. “The SMT V2™ system will help us increase our operational efficiencies and allow us to realize the full production capabilities of our newly expanded plant.”

Ellie Antova, ICM’s International Regional Manager for Argentina, agreed. “Adopting the SMT V2™ system shows that ACA Bio is focused on innovation and forward-thinking system implementation,” she said. “ICM has always been on the leading edge of the biofuels industry in North America, and we’re pleased to support our customers in Argentina and empower them with our latest technologies.”

The expansion is expected to be completed in 2019.
